My toy barn
Since I moved aboard Ferrity and docked in Annapolis I've pursued my writing at coffee shops and the library. Because I have intermittent Internet Wi-fi at the dock I looked for someone with an extra office. After asking around for a couple months Backyard Boats Annapolis offered me a place to write.
All I wanted was a warm, somewhat quiet desk with an Internet connection. Turns out that business is slow during the cold months and they had an opening for another person. So, now I have a desk... plus token pay to answer the phone, support the customers AND unlimited access to a whole bunch of toys. In a couple weeks my co-worker heads to NC for three months during which time I'll be the only one in the office.
We sell Hobie boats from the famous catarmarans to the kayaks. The primary propulsion for Hobie kayaks is pedals although you carry a paddle as well. The pedal drive is great for anglers, photographers, and sneaking up on wildlife because they don't see you swinging a paddle. See this video of fishing and hunting.
Plus, the Adventure Island "kayak" has a big sail. (girl not included)

We also offer Precision sailboats
and Walker Bay Airis inflatable kayaks.
Oh yeah - all of this is within 75 yards of Ferrity.
