Sailing

In December 1986, I purchased Sun Po, a Pearson 35 foot sloop and moved aboard two weeks later.  Until late in 2005, I lived aboard Sun Po as I sailed her on the Chesapeake Bay, San Francisco Bay and Delta, across to Hawai'i, and around the Hawaiian Islands.  Someday soon, I will move back aboard another sailboat.

Sun Po at anchor in Napa River, CaliforniaA scanned pre-digital photo of Sun Po anchored in the Napa River.  One week I explored the Napa River by sailing from the San Francisco waterfront up the Bay and into the Napa River.  After sailing past Mare Island, I continued up the river and anchored within a short dinghy ride to the city of Napa.  Beautiful, but shallow river.

Prior to Sun Po, I owned Ku'uipo, a 17 foot Daysailor that I sailed on Tokyo Bay.
